Parker Flex-Tip™ Tracheal Tubes

The patented Parker Flex-Tip™ Tracheal Tube has a soft, flexible, curved, centered, distal tip that is designed to prevent trauma to the delicate structures of the human airway. This tip, which is flanked by double Murphy eyes, flexes and yields as it is advanced into contact with protruding features of airway anatomy. The centered tip tends to move along the midline of the airway and the glottic opening. The tip's curvature predisposes it to "ski" gently along airway surfaces.

Several clinical studies have confirmed the superiority of the Parker Flex-Tip™ Tracheal Tube for use over introducers and for fiberoptic intubations. The centered, curved tube tip lies closely against the wall of the fiberscope or introducer and minimizes any gap between them which could contribute to the tube hang-ups in the larynx which frequently occur when using a tube with a standard, side-beveled tip.

The Parker TrachView™ Intubating Videoscope is a high-quality video endoscope, comprised of a detachable, fiberoptic cable and a lightweight, portable case containing a dual light source, camera, LCD screen, and controls.

A unique feature of this scope is that it allows "hands-free video intubation." This means that neither of the intubationist's hands are required to touch or manipulate the videoscope during the process of video intubation. The intubationist is thus free to use both hands to carry out normal intubation technique, while nevertheless being able to view a high-resolution, focused, color, LCD image of the airway from the forward end of the ET tube.

Use of the TrachView™ Intubating Videoscope is enhanced by the use of the Parker Clip-It™ and Parker Slim-Style™ Stylet to hold the videocable at a desired depth within the endotracheal tube and to provide sufficient tube curvature to facilitate the tube's passage around virtually any curved airway path.

The Clip-It™ fits onto the 15 mm connector at the proximal end of the ET tube. It is used to secure an adult or a pediatric TrachView™ videocable at a desired depth within the tube during intubation, and is easily removable from the tube after intubation. The Clip-It™ is available in two sizes. One size, dark green, will secure an adult, 5.5mm diameter videocable within the ET tube. The other size, light green, will secure a 3.0mm diameter pediatric videocable within the ET tube.
