Hager & Werken is a purely dental company - therefore they are well-known only in the dental world. First of all, their dental world consists of their customers, dentists and dental labs with their teams. They purchase their products exclusively through dental dealers in over 60 countries worldwide, their partners and, most of them, personal friends for many, many years. The patients and end consumers might know their company through their Mira Dent range of prophylaxis products obtainable through dentists and pharmacies. But this small world wouldn't be complete without their own team in Duisburg and elsewhere - and, of course, without their 400 innovative, special products!
Indeed, Hager & Werken is an innovative company. It is astonishing to see how many products of daily use have been launched by them in Germany: In the sixties the hygienic disposable saliva ejector or the sterile disposable injection cannula. Miraject is the market leader in Germany still today, over 600 million painless injections are an impressive evidence. Later, they have introduced the first semi-adjustable articulator to the dental lab as well as the disposable toothbrush impregnated with toothpaste (HAPPY MORNING), the first insert system (BETA-QUARTZ) and the Mira Dent prophylaxis products - the Hager & Werken sales persons have often been smiled at when first introducing their novelties. Later, the dental market has been hard to imagine without some of these product.
Hager & Werken is nowadays involved in the production process from the very beginning. It starts with an idea. Quite often, this idea comes from a university, an innovative dentist or dental technician contacting the company that has launched so many ideas successfully before, including famous German scientists as well as the Paffenbarger Research Center of the ADA (American Dental Association). Also here, their network works worldwide.
In the new century, the patented Miramatic system could become "the next classics". It eliminates the danger of needle stick injuries and the fear of infections from this source to the practice team.
